I installed a Rubicon Express 3.5" SuperFlex lift kit on my 2000 XJ this past weekend and when we started putting the rear end back together, we noticed that we had to crank pretty hard on the sway bar to get it to sit down on the leaf springs. Are there extensions or sway bar links that will take the stress off of the sway bar? If so, would it make sense to have disconnects back there, too, to free up the rear axle?
Forgive me if this is a stupid question. I'm still learning.

There is honestly no need for the rear swaybar unless you tow a lot. Just take it off. If you insist on keeping it, I think rustys makes brackets for it
X2 lengthen the links or ditch it all together.
You can spend more money on something nobody uses or shave a little weight off your XJ.

I ditched mine, and threw it in a ditch. I'd be iffy on ditchin the front one too. I mean, mines a DD and livin in a city and all, people don't know how to drive and certain moves that belong in Fast and Furious may come in handy and atleast a front sway bar will be helpful keeping my top heavy Jeep on atleast 2 tires. 86 the rear and disco the front.
