Rear hatch aux lighting
I bought two of these nilight flush mount led pods almost a year ago. One set to install in my f250 bumper as aux back up lights and the other for the jeep. They ended up not fitting in the jeep bumper and it took a long time to figure out what to do with them. I had the plastic off the hatch to mess with the rear latch mechanism since it was sticking and saw the perfect spot for these lights. There are two hollowed out spots about 10” in from the left and right edges and a couple inches up from the bottom of the hatch door. I cut the plastic out and used some rubber washers behind the plastic to increase the surface area for the bolts holding the pod in(a little less stress on the plastic). Ran the wires up the side over the top and down through the grommet where the washer fluid hose goes. Then ran power from the front just tapping in to a power source I already had. I think it turned out pretty great!

Also forgot to mention and add pics of the rear storage I built. This was based off a design from a fellow member on here modified a little bit as I went

Thanks guys. Unfortunately every time I finish a project I go crap I didn’t take any during pictures... if I have some time this week I can probably pull the plastics and take some pictures. I can also get exact measurements.

They're Nilight 18W flood lights(link below). They don't come with any wiring harness or switch so make sure to buy one if you don't want to make your own. I spliced into a wire after the fuse that powers pretty much the same lights, but spots and not flush mount on the front bumper. Not worries about draw with these as I'll never have them both on and even if I did this wiring harness originally powered halogen offroad lights so with both on it's still way less draw. I havent had a chance to get out and take the plastics off to show how it's put together, but it's on my to do list. Let me know if you have any other questions.
