That's a 4.5" in front and 4" in the rear if that helps.

Good choice!
What kind of wheeling do you plan on doing? The answer will dictate whether you should be looking at the Super-Ride or Super-Flex kit.

I run the 3.5" SuperRide. All said and done, I actually would have gone higher. You basically have to install everything you need to get a higher lift to make the RE 3.5 roll vibe free. meaning you need an SYE, new rear driveshaft, adjustable control arms to fix front pinion, and shims for rear axle to fix rear pinion, and control arm drop brackets to smooth out the ride. Just my 2 cents! I think the RE 3.5" looks perfect for the XJ - it basically brings the ride height to what modern SUVs are like the new 4Runner. But I wish it was higher for all the work I put in. I'll post pics of mine tomorrow.

Each XJ is different when lifted when it comes to drive line vibes. I have no drive line vibes and did not do any of those extras.

Care to expand the benefits of each?

I'm assuming SR for more DD and SF for well... flex?

Super Ride offers ride quality on road while the Super Flex offers better flex/articulation offroad.

I'm getting super ride. I have a baby on the way so the ride is more important at the moment but I really want the super flex

I'd piece together a lift then ome leafs and a lift shackle , with Re coils and bilstein's or Fox shocks. My re leafs are too stiff for my liking and I'm running bilstein 5100's

First and foremost...Congrats!!!

Shocks will play an important roll in the ride quality as well.
Choose wisely.

Agree - The Jeep will not be a smooth ride with RE lift. Drop brackets will help with the ride a lot if you don't mind losing that bit of ground clearance. I don't have personal experience with OMEs but I have heard they have a lower spring rate. The RE stuff is *quality* (emphasis added), but it's pretty heavy duty stuff. Check the spring rate on the RE lift coils versus stock, I am pretty sure it's like double the stiffness from OEM.

But with that comes a long time with the same ride height, my RE lift is almost 10 years old and i still have the same ride height
and yes new shocks and bushings have been replaced since then
