My RE 3.5" rear leaf pack is a tiny bit harsh under normal driving matched with Bilstein 5100s, has settled about a half inch or full inch (it measured at almost 5" over stock immediately after install) but it rides awesome when I have the rear end loaded with my 220 pound moto It really just isn't mooshy junk, not overly harsh or stiff.

Do you run 33's with 3.5

Yes ran them for 2 years and ran 35's for about 5 months before tranny temps got to high in the summer months so I switched back to my 33's and put the 35's on my YJ.

Top pic is on 33's. Bottom pic is on 35's

I have 31s now. Should I keep 31s or go with 32s or 33s

32 is a odd size you'll want to regear for 33's Mine is being regeared in a couple months then it'll get 35's again. I like the ground clearance with the larger tires. But they are a little harder on parts

I'll probably stick with 31s. Cheaper and I can get more flex with them

31's with a 3.5 inch lift is a good way to go.

Cheaper yes but if you'll be surprised I can fully extend my 10" travel shocks and unseat Coils 4" fully flexed with the other side on the bumpstop. On 33's and 35's. But I also set up my bumpstops properly when I measured for shocks Tire size has nothing todo with articulation.

Haven't measured but enough to fully stuff a 35 in my fender when on the bumpstop and stop 1 inch away on 33's

Then you might want to get to work on swapping out that rear XJ bench seat with the split rear from a grand cherokee. Or at least start thinking about doing so.

My kids started getting bigger and I had it brought to my attention that the stock XJ rear seat doesn't have headrests, which, in today's bubble-wrap the children's society, is a big, huge, steaming no-no.

Having done the swap though, they are really nice seats, so I can't be too mad.

Oh my God, that's one of the most beautiful XJ's I've ever seen. With the 33's or the 35's. When mine grows up, I want it to look just like that.

I think mine is too vertical preventing better flex.

the 3.5 will install more like a 4". As Tony at Serious explained this allows for aftermarket bumpers, winch, skids etc to be added and you will still be at least 3,5.
So what's the difference between a re 3.5 and a cheap 4.5 add a leaf

Better quality components, a full leaf pack, warranty, longevity, and a much better ride.
