"Smooth" is a very subjective term. What one person considers smooth maybe extremely harsh to another...and visa versa.

As promised, pics of the RE 3.5 SuperRide on my Jeep. I am definitely not saying the RE 3.5 is "harsh", it's just not as smooth as stock. I like my lift, I just probably would have sourced OME springs, shocks, and leafs if I did it over and piece-mealed the kit together. I also might have gone another 2 inches taller.

Before the lift (next to my TJ - now sold):

From his profile:

Engine: 4.0L
Transmission: AW4
Transfer Case: NP231
Front Axle: HPD30
Rear Axle: Chryco 8.25
Tires: 245/75-16
Lift Specifications: Rubicon Express 3.5

I think that is about a 31" tire

Yup 31". Those are the Treadwright Guard Dogs in 245/75/16 (re-tread tires). Again, I think the RE 3.5 makes the Jeep look more like it should have out of the factory (again, it rides at about the same height as most modern SUVs do now, if not a little higher).

do you think a 1" spacer or .75" spacer would level your jeep?

I actually think its pretty level. I thought about installing a 1" spacer on the front springs (I actually had the spacers when I did my lift) and am glad I chose not to install them.

I like your Jeep. Kinda what I want to do to mine and debating 31" vs 33" tires.

Are those Rubicon replica wheels?

I do not run any coil spacers. Mine is about 1/2 inch higher in the rear. I did the full leaf replacement . These need time to settle. Mine has settled about 1/2 inch after lots of flexing on the trail. The full leafs are beefy and stiff and take time to flex. Also pay attention to shackle angle. I think mine is too vertical preventing better flex.

the 3.5 will install more like a 4". As Tony at Serious explained this allows for aftermarket bumpers, winch, skids etc to be added and you will still be at least 3,5.

Same here with the re springs. Gotta load all my gear and tools in the XJ to flex decently even after 3 years. I also believe a better shackle angle would help. I have jcr gas tank skid , sliders , winch bumper , winch. Full size spare (33 ). And this is how it sits with a full tank and all be trail tools and recover gear.
