THanks for the info but looks like I'm not finding the info I'm looking for.

You can salvage your rear with a bastard pack. Since the donor pack goes under your main eye to eye it isn't a problem. Ive been running an S10/XJ pack for a couple years no problems. Coils are pretty cheap and worth investing in for your final tide height/weight.
In all seriousness though there is no way to do this cheap and keep a good ride. If its just a trail beater by all means proceed. If you intend to actually drive it then save your money and buy good parts.

Thanks for that info.
I know the jeep won't give me a great smooth ride. I have priced some of the coil springs online and I might just order a set of new ones for $60-80.

That's what I was thinking. Thanks.
Well change of plans I have been calling junk yards for prices and these guys are crazy. S10 leaf springs are $40-75 each and coil springs are $50 each, that is crazy. For that price I would be better off to get a rough county 3" lift for $260. Only thing is that kit looks like a add a leaf and not sure how well those work.
The other choice is to do a shackle in the rear and spacers in the front. Then I will trim my finders to make sure the 31" clear. I know I won't be doing any hard core 4 wheeling.

You would best advised to do it right the first time with a full leaf/coil 3" lift package that had all shocks and hardware included. You will end money ahead and a lift that works together going with a kit that is balanced.
An excellent starter full 3" leaf/coil package from Rustys costs $438 with quality springs made in NA. His is the cheapest quality kit around not made in China. BTW the RC kits leave a lot to be desired and that price is to cheap for a full lift package.

Was able to find new front springs that should do my 3" for $70 shipped so now to find a deal in leaf springs.
I can't believe the prices at the junk yard that's crazy.

If you can't afford to do it properly now I would wait and save until you can do it properly. It best to do it right once as it will cost less in the long run.

I understand your logic and thanks.
But it's not a matter of I can't afford to spend $500 on a lift it's I don't want to spend that kind of money. If I was after some big rock crawler or 4wd rig I would fully understand but the jeep will be for getting round town and playing the dirty once in a while.

500 bux is the cheapest/best lift for the money. it is my no means "rock crawler" quality. a good lift runs in the thousands.
listen to these guys, if you go cheap, you will regret it with a rough ride that is uncomfortable as a daily driver.
go for the rustys kit, you will not regret it. you can always add to it later to make it taller/better.

If you cheap out and go with a junkyard lift be prepared to deal with some serious death wobble and bad vibes that you will spend more money on trying to correct. Lift and cheap don't go together. Even if you have to settle for Rough country, rusty's, or zone all are better options.
