The first pic looks like it smashed sideways on something, so this is a flaw?

I'm sure you have broke lots of things before you got to tons, 94.

Hold my beer and watch this, I can break anything.

I'm not arguing that he is wrong, certainly there are better options. An LS1 would be better than my stroker. An atlas is better than my 231. Coil-overs are better than my bilsteins. A Dana 60 would be better than my D44 and a Dana 80 would be stronger than that. I just don't think 98% of us are going to need/break IROs kit unless you are being pretty dumb or in a different league all together. I did every challenging trail/park I could find in LA/TX, go about 15-20 times a year here in MT. Done a bunch in WY. Couple in AZ. Ive done almost every trail/obstacle in Moab, will be doing the Rubicon and a few others over there this year... Doing all the tough ones in CO next year. Ive jumped it and rammed obstacles... I guess either there are some insane trails somewhere that force you to break things or it is exactly the "hold my beer" scenario..

that's not what the argument is about. sure, you're right, atlas > 231, D60 > D44. that's comparing apples to oranges. the issue with IRO is that the kit goes backwards in design. if you're gonna buy a D60, you wouldn't buy the one with a disconnect housing. you'd spend a little more and buy one that doesn't have any obvious weak points. just because it works doesn't mean it's a good idea. I don't know when that concept went out the door but apparently this product (that comes with half the materials as a normal radius arm) is exempt.

comparing apples to apples, you're buying a kit with an obvious weak point and expecting the same reliability. sure it works, just like a disconnect 60 would, but buying it and installing it under your jeep looks like the activities of a crazy person to me. if I see you broke down on the rubicon because of IRO I'm gonna lend you a hand. but you will never hear the end of it lol

Haha IF it breaks I will gladly admit defeat and any bashing that comes with that. I doubt it though... I have defended them for years now.

I dont know... It gets the job done. I could go deer hunting with my 50 cal but at 20$ a shot, The old 30-06 works fine. Sure the 50 cal would be a more guaranteed death but do I need it for my purposes? Na.
