Would a push fan attached to the grill help with keeping the engine cooler during slow trail riding
how much cfm to simulate a wind speed at certain MPH?
replaced all the cooling components beside the radiator. Just thinking of ideas to assist stock system.
thanks

The push fan sounds like a good idea until you start doing some math. The mechanical and efan pull a total of 3000 cfm. Not many efans will pull that much. You can get something better out of a Taurus V6 fan which pulls 3800 cfm. But the number of efans that will move that much air are few and far between. I think that unless you have some obstruction in the cores, the push fan would actually be an obstacle and reduce air transfered.

Consider that many slow crawl these in hot desert conditions with no problems in stock cooling form. If you are getting too hot, maybe your engine driven fan clutch is slipping, or your electric fan is down on voltage. or you might have another issue, restricted catalyst, failing water pump, thermostat problem, blockage in cooling system, etc..... Also consider engine rpms when she over heats, are you using the lowest possible gear to keep rpms up and hence the engine driven fan spinning faster. is your torque converter slipping?
You should not need an extra fan. something else maybe wrong.

Replaced everything except the most important part? I would be replacing that. A push fan could help with low speed crawling but may hinder higher speed air flow.

I’m not over heating. Replaced everything but the radiator when I changed head gasket. Fans, hoses, pump, Tstat. Got about an hour on it since then. If I have any issues the radiator will be replaced.
my Jeep is not street legal. This is not a daily driver or rock crawler. Using it as a sxs/golf cart on my 50 acres.
it shouldn’t ever be going faster than 10mph. Was just looking for opinions of a efan to push air like I was doing 30ish mph.
just trying to see if the juice is worth the squeeze.

That input is what I’m looking for.
I was just going to zip tie the biggest cfm fan I could to the grill and let her eat. standing still doing 30! Kinda like painting it red or adding a spoiler.

Besides all 4 doors and bobbed the back…no.
AC doesn’t work anyway.
that would give it more flow through the radiator.
that would need to be done to have any benefit from a push fan I think.
That alone though will allow more air to suck through radiator. Thanks

It was a hack job that included using a cutting wheel to cut the condenser lines but its out.
Had a lot of organic crap wedged between the condenser and radiator that was preventing air flow.
I feel like that’s going to really allow for better cooling. Easy to see why vehicles overheat sitting still with AC blowing wide open.
