OE fan CFM

OE fan CFM
Does anyone happen to know what the CFM rating on the OE clutch fan is? Or a good electric fan replacement? Would like to run dual electric fans but don't really know where to start.

No way to really tell accurately clutch fan CFM as it's air pull would be variable based upon air temp/cooling need sensed by the clutch.......not to mention engine rpm which is extremely variable. Judging by the size of the fan blades and the noise it makes the more engaged it becomes, I'd say it will move substantially more air than the efan. The stock efan moves something like 2300 CFM so don't want to fall short of more than double that number. Do plenty of research before changing/modding anything on the XJ cooling system.

Mechanical fan CFM figures are available but I don't recall them offhand. Pretty sure you can find the figure with Google. This is an OEM figure but you will usually find more coverage in Mod Tech with threads about alternative systems.
While the CFM varies with conditions, there is a target figure that will be considered adequate for a replacement system.
