Back in the days of my third and fouth gen fbody, we often ran better wires like MSD, better coils, even a ignition box. Does any of that really help with the 4.0? I do not see much if any talk other than run stock copper plugs.

Waste of money. High failure rate on aftermarket coils.
Premium distributor cap, rotor, and wires from Napa with NGK plugs.
Clean your throttle body and IAC. Snug up your intake manifold bolts. Replace the fuel filter.
