No bumpstops
So I have a rc 4.5" lift and my rear bumpstops have rotted away. With no rear sway bar, and disconnected front, on 31's how do I measure the size I need? I have searched but didn't exactly understand how to do it. And can anyone give a ballpark of about what size I would need?

Take the shocks off, then measure, you need to know compressed length and extended. So when your wheel is tucked where you want it on one side, measure that side and that will be your compressed measurement. Measure the other side for extended. add about an inch, maybe 2 to both measurements so you dont blow your shocks. Order.
Also, put bumpstops on, you need to measure to the end of it(where it stops your axle from moving up further)
In the rear this is hard to accomplish with lifted rigs and bigger tires, you need to fab a bumpstop plate onto your ubolt plate and put your bumpstop on the frame so it contacts that and stops you tire from eating the fender, or max compressing the shock. The front can be done with pucks inside the coil springs.

I've heard the opposite. Well, that the only shock you could use for that would be high end ones. Otherwise, letting them limit droop would damage them. What I've heard anyway
