New-to-me-XJ / Need some advice/input
Recently purchased a '98 with a 3" lift and am looking for some input on a couple of things. This is my DD, but I'd also like to be able to do some light OR as well.
1) The PO put on JK Rubicon wheels with Spidertrax adapters, and 235/65/17 BFG Traction TA's (~29" diameter). I will have to replace the tires in the next couple of months, and while I really like the looks of the wheels, I am not so thrilled with the price of 17" tires, or having to run adapters. In addition, my choices in tread/tire style is pretty limited due to clearance. At this point, I'd rather not trim nor do I want to increase lift....sooo, should I...
a) Go with smaller wheels and a taller/more aggressive tread? (TJ Moabs ideally)
b) Stuff a 31" dia. tire on the existing wheels ?
2) PO installed SYE and a new DL, but pinion angle is off a bit. I get vibes at around 65/70 mph+. I plan on adding shims soon, but wonder if highway speeds in the interim are going to do any damage? The vibes are "mild" and more of an annoyance than affecting handling/driveability.
Thanks!

First off welcome to the forum! Second, the good news is that XJ rims are a dime a dozen in the salvage yards so you can easily grab a set of 15s and go with the 31 x 10.50s.
