cherokee leaf spring help needed!!
I have a 2000 Cherokee that I'm needing some help with the rear leafs. Are the rear leafs suppose to bend/bow in the upward position? My jeep seem to squat in the rear alot to me. Any advice/input is needed and if this is wrong help with fixing the issue is asked. Thanks for the help.

When I had the same issue I just looked at some others. Think I was at wall-mart. Yep, mine'r squished. Still are. Installed $70 air shocks from Napa. If I had it to do over I'd use air bags instead, then you get regular shock action until it hits them...I think. I overload my trailer sometimes. Really, new springs are the way to go, not too spendy and it ends up right.

Might as well spray some PB Blaster on the nuts/bolts while you are thinking about it!

If the springs are stock and are bowing up instead of down. Sad to say it is time for new rear springs.
If you haul a lot of stuff or often two a trailer consider adding coil over shocks or air bags. I have not had the best of luck with air shocks, they do work well when they are working.

Recommend the heavy duty springs from Quadratec. If you decide not to go that route recommend the coil over shocks from Monroe.

Was under my Jeep soldering some trailer wiring a few weeks ago. There was a hiss and the rear of the Jeep started coming down. I admit I was puzzled for a second. Got out of having to take the boat out that day, I got to repair the line to the air shocks instead. So with air shocks, you get that too. Although they where cheap and relatively easy to install, and it's nice to be able to adjust ride height with a bicycle pump, but I'd rather have a nice, stout, set of springs.
