Yeah, I knew an X pipe would be absolute must. The only place I can think to put it though is above the driveshaft near the rear diff. Otherwise, the tranny, skid, and everything else is in the way. I guess I might just go with a single outlet. Seems like a LOT less hassle, unless the dual outlets would flow better. I'm still riding the line, but my belly has leaned more towards the single outlet side.

That would no work good for flow purposes, and x or H pipe needs to be as close to the engine as possible

I have flowmaster 40 series with dual outlets dumping out the side just before the right rear tire. Sounds great I love it!

If I went with a single 3 inch pipe, through a High Flow Cat, Flowmaster Super 44, and then out the stock location, with mandrel bent pipe, how loud do ya'll think a Vortec 5.7 would be?

I dunno, I don't keep up with mufflers anymore, and I can't stand something being louder than it needs to be. I use magnaflow, borla, or the new cherry bomb muffler (not the glass packs), and have used the hooer aero chambers a couple times.
