That is a very nice setup! I'm a little confused though on how you attached the 2 ends of the intake tube to the box and the cowl

the intake tube is just RTV'd into the hole in the box (tight fit). Where it meets the cowl i just drilled a 3" hole and stuffed the intake elbow in (there is a lip that holds it in place)

This works very well.. It needs some tweaking but other than that a great way to save some bucks.

I just posted a tread on this and the aftermath of this approach to this mod.

So I don't think I have ABS, I have a couple pics and questions.

1)Does it look like I'd be able to do the cowl set up on the drivers side?

2) Do you put a plastic mount on the fire wall and the air box?

3) What size self tapping screws did you use?

3) Can you put a cone filter in the stock air box, and what size?

Thanks in advance!

NO ABS

1)Does it look like I'd be able to do the cowl set up on the drivers side?
YES
2) Do you put a plastic mount on the fire wall and the air box?
NO
3) What size self tapping screws did you use?
No screws, but #8 should be plenty big
3) Can you put a cone filter in the stock air box, and what size?
Unlikely that it will fit - use stock size air filters or stock replacement K&N
Thanks in advance!
