it looks a bit small but should work fine for most - I wouldn't go smaller than 2.5" inside diameter

Used a 3 inch hole saw to cut into the cowl and the air box and use marine grade RTV

Great setup. I can't believe the number of people who asked the same questions about rain and snow.

Quick edit: For anyone looking to gain some power with this setup by having a true CAI, keep in mind that corrugated hose causes substantial airflow turbulence. OTOH, two sharp 90 deg elbows is also not great for air flow. I can't decide whether to go with the RV sewer hose setup or the PVC/ABS elbow setup.

One question for the OP - did you use PVC (and paint it black), or did you use ABS?
