Default motor internals

I'm rebuilding my motor in my 2001 xj. I was wondering if the internal components differ from an older renix motor. I know the intake manifold and fuel injection is different. It hard to find everything for 99,01 would I be ok to buy bearings and gaskets for the older motor?

The internal stuff you will have to get it based on what year the engine is, I would assume.
