Just had my engine rebuilt how do I break it in right to make sure it runs strong for years

To my understanding you need to vary the revs below 3,000 for the first 1,000 miles then do some heavier driving. No burnout or pulls but a little harder than before. Do not drive at one constant RPM. And wait until 6,000 miles to change the oil. I'm sure someone can add to this or clarify a bit.

Do let it warm up completely than run it hard pretty much?

So stop and go driving is perferred over highway driving. Can't wait should get it running this weekend

I know that to break in a new can you need to keep it at a constant 2000 rpm for 20 minutes
