mufflers
All this talk about different models of FlowMaster mufflers. For those of you that run MagnaFlow, which ones do you go with? Is it straight through design or chambered?

I just put a MagnaFlow 11256 on my XJ in place of a brand new SpinTech Sportsman Street. Guess I'm gonna sell the Spintech -- it sounds great, but it's just a bit too loud for my tastes. The MagnaFlow sounds very good too, but is not as loud. Louder than stock, but not nearly as loud as the SpinTech.
According to the MagnaFlow website:
They feature a free-flowing, straight-through perforated stainless steel core, stainless mesh wrap and acoustical fiber fill to deliver that smooth, deep tone.
It was hard to convince myself to cut off a brand new muffler, but I'm much happier with the MagnaFlow -- as is my wife. I guess that means I'm getting old, huh?

I also just installed a Magnaflow 11256, and I'm happy with it. It makes some noise around town, and fairly quiet on the freeways.
