Default making steering easier

Is there a mod I can do to make the steering wheel easier to turn? My wife has always complained the wheel is hard for her to turn. Thanks

245/75/17. Michelin. About 30psi.... she complained when I had 235/75/15 with no lift. I've owned the jeep since 2003. She's always complained about the steering.

x2: I can "palm" my '98 on 31x10.5's & detected no difference from the previous '99 on standard tires.

Install a new pressure relief spring/valve it probably weak .It sits where the high side hose hooks to the pump ..

Jack up the front axle so both wheels are off the ground by an inch or two....with the engine off but steering wheel unlocked, see if its easy or hard to spin the steering wheel back and forth. If its easy and it should be, then the problem is in your power steering system . If its difficult, something is binding mechanically in the axle or knuckles, or steering linkages

Raised up front end. Vehicle off, steering wheel unlocked, seemed to be about the same resistance as if the vehicle was running with the tires on the ground. So much easier with the vehicle running and the tires off the ground. Night and day.

Possibly but doubtful, he cant easily turn with wheels off ground , engine off. I can spin my steering wheel with one finger, engine off wheels up. Do you have a steering damper...it might be siezed...disconnect it see if that helps.

A seized up U joint in the front axle will cause hard steering also.

You can unhook the steering and check each front wheel to see if they move free and then turn the steering wheel to se if it it still hard to turn .
