its a completely different type of radius arm, putting more stress on that single upper mount. I think the fact that they use a rubber bushing there saves the small bolt (and caster adjuster) But its a tradeoff, I personally hate front axle wrap and would by far prefer a hard joint with a real bolt in there when there is only one upper mounting point.
As for the kit working fine just for you, thats fine and dandy. but 140k is a lot of miles, for the rest of your jeep to last that long through wheeling and look as beautiful as it does leads me to believe you don't exactly push the limits of your rigs capability. Maybe I'm wrong, and you take care of everything that happens to it on the trail pretty nicely, but its just an observation.
as for joint and bushing quality, it may not matter in your application, it does matter to many other people.

I have destroyed two jeeps in the past... Ive just learned from my mistakes and try not to redo them. I do wheel, I just dont jump it/smash it into things on purpose. Going to go play around on the Rubicon Trail for the second time with this one in the spring and will not smash my rig like you do haha. I wish I could... but I dont have the time to build another one.
I am not saying IRO is the best or anything like that. Its just whenever somebody comes in asking about them, like 10 people who have not tried them come in and try to make them buy a much more expensive kit. I have found the kit to be more than I expected. I paid a ton of money for a skyjacker kit along time ago and hated it. I bought a XJ with fox-shocks coming up through the floor/attached to cage with RK short arms and I hated that thing. Granted it had the pissed wheeled out of it before I ever got it but still.
If he wants to keep the stock axles, I highly doubt he is the person that is going to care about the bushings/joints. Its like paying for 37 dollars for a can of Gerber formula vs paying 15 for the Walmart brand with the exact same ingredients. Sure it might mix easier but they are both going to feed the baby. He asked about RC and IRO.. IRO is the way to go with those two.

KTM I always seem to butt heads with you. I am not trying to man I swear haha. I know you have a ton of experience/knowledge. For whatever reason we seem to always to be on the opposite side of the fence.

Ok well finally got some extra $ christmas wiped me out. Anyway stuffs happening I'm not going so high anymore ktmracer's thread had its influence on me. I went down to the local pick a part last weekend and pulled a set of rustys 405 coil springs and leafs and got the zj v8 tie rod, ordered my wheels 15x8 black steels, and ordered my long arms from Iron Rock. I am shooting for 5.5-6" of lift. with the 35" mtrs.
