Lunchbox locker and regearing

I thought that the front axle would be open when in 2wd and that it would behave like it did before the locker since there is no power going to the front end. It grinds and hops around on pavement doing parking lot turns and tight turns at intersections. I'm happy with it, though, since all I do with it is drive from my house to the place where I take it off-road. It's a beast in the mud with the locker.

That's exactly what mine does, and yes, I have it aligned. The shop put in an adjustable track bar when they put in the locker and checked it.
