It has been roughly about a year since the Lokka craze swept the forums.
Now I want to hear from those who have them. DD's and trail rigs.
How's the longevitity?
Anything break while wheeling?
Performance?
Noise?

From the website listed above.
Q22. What is the history of LOKKA?
LOKKA has been manufactured in Australia since the late 1990’s and has been sold globally under its own brand name or re-branded for local resellers.
From 2003 to 2012 it was best known in North America under the brand name Aussie Locker™*
The Aussie Locker™ model listing was only a small subset of the total number of products that were available.
Gear to Goannawhere is very pleased to offer the entire product range without limitation (to suit USA, Asian & European models) and with a 3 Year Limited International Warranty.
All development and manufacturing design of the key components has always been performed in Australia.
To ensure the highest product quality, all Designs, Manufacturing techniques and international Patents are proprietary and have never been externally licensed to third parties.
Any representations to the contrary are false.
LOKKA enjoys an excellent reputation for reliability throughout the world – sold in every continent, in all realms of 4x4 and 2x4 performance activity.

Been running mine (front and rear) for a year it's a DD and WW. It go's to work and back 20 miles each way 5 days a week runs errands on weekends and wheels about twice a month. No issues, yes they make noise, yes the rear is a bit brash for most. But you know
they are lockers if I wanted smooth and quiet I would be building a Mercedes, if I wanted no traction I would be building a FWD hatch back.

If its a cherocar there is no hate here. If yours is RWD and spends most of its time on the street any kind of limited slip would be right up your alley. You could probably find a good ford 8.8 with decent gear LSD and disc brakes for what you would spend on a new carrier. You are aware that converting is not very hard

I ran them front and rear in mine when it had stock axles and 33s, switched to 35s and axles didn't like it so I swapped axles. Anyway I love mine and never had any issues. Best lunchbox I've ever ran and I've had Lockrites, Detroit EZs and Spartans. Broke 2 of those 3 but the Aussies/Lokkas never gave me any trouble in almost 5 years.
Hi Folks, I'm Cora from Aussie Locker and I'm here to help answer any questions.
Aussie Locker and Lokka are completely separate companies with different locker designs, materials used and model offerings.
All lockers are not created equal. There are a few major things to consider when you purchase a locker: The alloy steel from which it is made, its intended use, the available budget, and the company's customer service and promptness in shipping. What sets Aussie apart from the competition is our steel---the ONLY automatic locker manufactured from 100% certified made in the USA with 9310 hardened alloy steel. Lower grade alloys, while less expensive, also can equate to shorter life. Additionally, the Aussie Locker is the only automatic locker manufactured in a world-class ISO9001 certified CNC machining facility.
There is only one Aussie Locker---the Original Aussie Locker, now being Made in the USA, with the best materials in the industry.
Any questions, feel free to send me an email or give our office a call. Hope to see you on the trails!

That's unfortunate denverd1, but not suprising that search engines brought you to their site, they are using our Trademarked name Aussie Locker (without our permission) on the front page of their website and in their marketing materials.
I'm pretty new to the forum and working on Vendor status. I'll post up a new thread soon.
Thanks for the feedback.
