So I wanted to buy an air locker for my front axle, found this one:

Bought it because it was the only air locker I could find for a D30, what I didn't look at was the gearing. It shows it is only compatible with 3.73 and up ratio only. My XJ has 3.55 gearing. Does that mean it is not compatible with my XJ? if so, are there any air lockers for a 27 spline D30 with 3.55 gears?

Dana 30 has what is known as a "carrier break", meaning it uses one size carrier for 3:55 and numerically lower gears, and different sized carrier for 3:73 and numerically higher gears.

 

Just put a lunchbox locker in, far cheaper, easier to install, and more reliable.
