lift kit installation needs
so im 17 and new to jeepin (but have loved every second of it) and im planing on lifting my jeep. im looking at this kit now http://www.quadratec.com/products/76017_812.htm but if anyone knows a cheaper one that isn't complete junk i would love to know. im also wondering how long it would take me to install with my limited know how and what i will need to install it. like what kind of jacks are best etc.

RE6025 - XJ 3.5" SUPER-RIDE W/REAR SPR
The 3.5-inch Super-Ride suspension system is an ideal system for the discerning Cherokee owner who desires a more aggressive look, higher ride stance and better trail performance, but still wants to retain factory like on-road handling and ride quality.
The RE6025 features bushings on both ends of the control arms which help to retain the factory ride while reducing road noise. This system replaces your XJ's rear factory leaf springs with Rubicon Express Extreme-Duty 3.5" leaf springs. The replacement RE Super-Ride™ lower control arms eliminates the weak factory arms, without inducing any additional road noise or vibration by retaining the stock bushings in the control arms.

Coil spring spacers are a great way to add a little extra lift to any coil spring. Easy to install and do not compromise coil performance in any way. Spacers cannot come out of place while offroading. They are also a perfect way
to compensate for extra weight.
The RE1333's can be used in the front or rear of a TJ/LJ/ZJ or front of a XJ.

go to ironrockoffroad.com im 17 and just finished putting on there 4" lift two days ago, you can get it done with a jack and jack stands, coil compressors, and it will save you a ton of time if you have an air wrench. it took me two afternoons after school to do it. good luck!

Or... since you are 17... and I'm assuming not made of money, you can take this advice...
Do some research on this and other cherokee sites about 'bastard-packs' and other junk-yard parts you can get really cheap to do you own mods for really really cheap, often with the same results, and the satisfaction of bragging to your buds about how you went to the junkyard, got some leafs off an s-10, some front coils out of a Grand-Cherokee, and for the hassel of bringing your own tools, renting some coil spring compressors from the local autoparts store, had a pretty nice lift for under 200 bucks!
You don't have to spend alotta cash to upgrade your stuff. A little work goes a long way. Check out all your options.

man screw skyjacker.. haha i used to love em till i got my new one.. go with them www.ironrockoffroad.com - very well built, very cheap complete kit... 50,000 miles no problems... haha someone else just asked the same question as you... should read that one
