I think ones idea of a dog and anothers are completely different on here. mines a 4 banger with 4.10's, manual, and 31's and I don't think its a dog. its not winning any races but its no dog. guess its all on what your used to.
It all depends on tranny final drive ratio, axle gearing and tire size. A dog isn't necessarily about speed. After all, a Jeep should be set up to pull and put power to the trail. If your gas mileage is junk because your rpm is low due to your gearing, and she won't pull...it's a dog.

Hows that treat you getting over the passes... mines doggish all the way up hwy70, mainly any hills
on 31's, stock 8.25, 4.0l, - has no problems once its up there but seems like it doesnt breathe too well? Anything similar for you?

3.07s with 33s arent to bad, yes it would be nice to be able to get up and go when on the highway but i just keep it in 4th unless going down hill. just some hills while wheeling sucks becuase if had better gears wouldnt need to put it into 4 lo on alot of things
it is what it is eventaully going to get 4.56s gears down the road

make a CAI with a heat shield. You wouldnt believe the difference it makes when you're underpowered. I know the difference with mine was instant. just my 2 cents.
