on to a wj knuckle , those who have done it or had it done. what was the method & material used ? thx

 

Preheat the knuckle as it is cast steel. Then you can either MIG or stick it. Use 7018 rod if you go arc. After welding, let it cool down slowly, use a torch to gradually let the cooling happen slower...helps prevent cracking. Weld the spacer fully.

 

In a video I watched, the guy threw it in a bucket of sand to cool.

 

I have seen that...either should work. Whatever you're more comfortable with I guess.
