I only did it for mine because of heat soak issues. Hyline has hood vents but they are always open so I jipped up my own version.
I see this is the wrong thread lol but I had to say I've had the Hyline hood vents on mine for years. I get a few squeaks from the belt here and there after it rains or snows but never had any real problems because of them.
