Default Help A Newbie With Lift Questions

Hey guys I am brand new to having any type of lifted vehicle and I need some advice. I have a 1998 zj that is bone stock. I am wanting to do a lift, tires etc. Here is what I am considering and also my questions.

Here is the kit I am looking at
http://www.4wheelcustoms.com/Product....asp?ID=193442
Now the questions - I am going to use the stock wheels (17" off a jeep liberty") and also use 1.5" wheel spacers

What is the max tire size I can run with no other modifications? I plan on using this as my daily driver and also a hunting rig

I am looking at treadwright tires. Good or Bad for what I will be using my zj for?

Is there anything else I should consider in going this route?

There is a special thread for lift and tire questions. You'll have better results there. Also a grand specific section with people who can help.

You can run 31's with no other modifications. Treadwright tires are amazing, keep in mind they are retreads though. I had a set on my wj and loved them!! I Had 32's on my 02 Grand by treadwright with no lift and it rubbed slightly even after I trimmed inner rubber but it wasn't bad! As of lift options look into Iron Rock Offroad, They make some quality zj lifts! Hope this helps!

The link you provided would be decent if you don't plan to offroad it any, but I don't really recommend spacer lifts to anyone hitting the trails.. if funds will allow definitely save up for the IRO kit
