you'll have to make sure to tell me how you like the ride of the rough country. I am thinking of doing the 4.5 to mine in the spring.

Welcome to the forum!

So I guess I just want to know how stiffly it rides on the road. I have head that they are kind of rough, but i just want someone to tell me otherwise so i can buy it and be happy.

IMO they are going to ride rougher because of the control arm angles that a 4.5" lift brings. that said they arent "that" bad, its definatly manageable. For a somewhat budget kit they arent that bad at all.

if your looking for better ride quality your going to have to spend more.

RE/OME if you want good ride quality, RE if you want good ride quality along with good off road performance. As you can tell im a huge RE fan.

I have the 3 inch rough country and love it. to see pics of it it is under the heading lift ordered. Fairly simple install it's just time consuming. the front was the first getting the axle to drop low enough. other than that it was a smooth install. just watch the shock bolts they snap easy.

I agree. I drove in my buddy's xj which had the 3" RC (full packs) lift and it rode nice, not too much different than my stocker. I always thought they were rough but it's all talk. I installed RC 2" AAL and it's not stiff either. Their shocks are "alright" though. I'd opt for Old Man Emu Nitrochargers instead. Best damn shock out there.....
