Default Headlights not adjusting up

So my wife bought her Jeep some led headlights cause the stock ones was crap. Went to adjust them where they need to be. But won’t adjust up no farther. The lights literally point straight down right in front of the Jeep. Have tried flipping and adjusting multiple times. Nothing is working. Can’t find anything on YouTube or Google about it. Don’t know if bucket needs to be changed or if it’s due to the size lift (6 inches). Any pointers or tips would help.. thanks.

Either reinstall the old or go buy a 10 dollar stock headlight and try the adjustment...if it works then your led bulbs are defective. Also remove the bulb and see if the headlight base actually moves when the adjustment screws are turned

The passenger side light is visibly pointed down. Something is probably broken/bent in the headlight bucket/adjuster system. Pull the housings out so you can get a better look at what is actually happening with the adjustment system.

The old stock headlights pointed out just fine. Just wasn’t bright at all. Don’t get why these aren’t adjusting right. Might pull them off and put one on my xj and see if it’s the headlights themselves.

Take the chrome ring off that holds the light into the bucket (4 screws). With the headlight removed, you should be able to see the whole bucket move when you turn the vertical or horizontal adjusting screw. Does it move correctly? When installed correctly, the front "lip" around the outside of headlight should sit flush against the outside edge of the bucket. If it still isn't working correctly, take a few close-up pics, especially one from the side, and post them up.

They fit in the bucket fine. Adjusted them all the way up as far as they’d go. But they shine literally straight down in front of her Jeep. Don’t know if she needs different buckets or what we may need to try to get them shining up where they should be.

+1 to this. it looks like something got sandwiched there and is forcing your headlight buckets down. definately something is misaligned

I would shine the light on a wall about 20 to 30 feet back so you can tell where the main beam is at .and you need to check the adjusters.

Probably a dumb question, don’t take offense. Are they installed upside down?

The first pic with the pattern on the ground to me looks like the cutoff is on the bottom?

This might sound crazy but the dot sae is up top. We even tried flipping them upside. Then it shined up in the trees like a coon hunting lighting.

I'm going to chalk it up to cheap Chinesium ebay/Amazon lights. That style of lights have horrible throw patterns to begin with, and fitment issues are probably just part of the problem.

When it comes to LED headlights, you get what you pay for.
