Just curious, took the new xj to a mud bog event a few weeks ago. Drove well, although my fenders suffered without fender wells after trying to get unstuck with the front arb locked......overheated and blew the heater core and the actuator, which I soon bypassed. But, the morning after day 1 I did a visual inspection and my passenger sway bar had broken across the hole atop the end link. Maybe being pulled out by the T-50 bulldozers had something to do with it?

Planning on zj sway bar and disconnects.

 

Interesting. Pics of your jeep? What lift and tires you run? And you blew a heater core? Huh, never heard of that. Your jeep a daily? Doesn't sound like it so why not just remove the sway bar altogether?

 

Look in to a currie antirock,Its fully adjustable.

 

I would like to see the recovery points that you added to the aftermarket front bumper along with the way it is mounted to the frame.

 

Dont dailythe jeep, ill post pics in a sec. Running 33/12.50/15s on a RE super ride 4.5" with a coil spacer and shims in the rear. Bought the jeep setup this way, had death wobble issues. Replaced TRE's on the rustys steering but its getting swapped outat some point as its bent and I dont really like itanyhow. Also drilled out the track bar mount at axle as it was ovaled and re mounted with appropriate hardware. The goal is to be able to drive an hour or 2 to wheeling/camping areas. Not 100%sure i blew the heater core but there was a slight mist of steam in the vehicle, had to bypass anyhow at the time so I didnt look further

Were you hooked up to both D-Rings in a Y and using a strap? If so I don't see why I should have broken it unless it got caught/hung on something in the ground.

 

Most recoveries were from rear.

Here is my front bumper, not installed by me

 

Whoever hung that "Bumper" their skills were lacking for sure as was the welding.

 

They welded L shape metal to basicly sheet metal with some ugly welds,The L pieces are not enough to really tie the front end together and the bumper only has 8 bolts holding it on.The bumper itself don't look that badly made but the install is another story.
