Default Going bigger

I got a 3" lift now. Coils only in front and blocks in the back. I wanted to go 2" more in front and 1.5" in back. I found a kit that has that with transfer case drop. It comes with 2" spacer and 1.5" shackle. I was wondering if it was ok if I did this. I'm also gettin track bar relocation bracket. Would this set up be fine?

At 5" you're going to need more than a t-case drop and a trackbar bracket

You're stock leafs will start frowning at you very quickly if you choose to do blocks and shackles for a 5" rear lift.

What ever you do, get rid of the blocks. Full leaf springs, an adjustable tracbar and an SYE are pretty much mandatory at 5" of lift, IMO.

This is the very least and I doubt you can get by with it.

Only other thing you'd really need are shocks, I don't see what else would be difficult to get away with.

You are also going to need a driveshaft after SYE install. Hopefully you don't end up with death wobble after lifting it to 5".

People are going to tell you that you can lift higher for dirt cheap. Sure you can slap some more spacers on there and get it that high but it's not going to be right.

Once you go over about 3.5" is where the money starts adding up.

And another thing, the 4.5" lift comes with transfer case drop and track bar. So what would be the difference. Only and inch in the front really and the overall of 4.5 in the back. I was looking at buying the whole 4.5 rough country kit but it $1000 or I could go this route with $200.

Ya I learned the hard way but all my stuff comes this next week. I already had 6 inch but with blocks kept getting axle wrap from aluminum blocks. So I got new spring packs, sye kit with cv drive line, u bolts and a couple other stuff. Your springs will sag on you bad I had the wrong arch hahaha but Ya don't it right the first time and save money

Where's the best place to order a sye kit and drive shaft. And dumb question what about the front. Wouldn't I need 2. There's nobody around where I live that knows anything much about jeeps so I don't get told anything. Gotta learn on here. Mostly diesels trucks

I got mine from Serious Offroad, good price, great service and fast shipping. Had it within days. Type cherokee forum in the discount code box and get 10% off, too. For the driveshaft, just use another front driveshaft from an XJ out of the salvage yard. Sure, you could go with a custom shaft like a tom woods, if you want to spend the coin. I'm running one and it works fine. You won't need 2 shafts, as the one you are replacing in the rear is going from a slip yoke style output shaft with a single cardan joint, to a fixed yoke with a double cardan joint. Here's a link to a page with install instructions so you have a better idea of whats involved:
