Front vibes
I'm getting vibes from the front. Everything is smooth till right about 47 mph.
There's no mud in the rims.
Front braking system is new.
No play in the steering up on the rack.
Just had alignment and tires balanced 17 days ago.
Got a bit of backlash in the front diff.
Front diff axles have slight looseness, but they've been that way for a couple of months.
Vibes started yesterday, haven't hit any pot holes.
Could use some ideas.

what type of vibes? Like does it feel like it is shaking though the steering wheel, or vibrating through the floor?
Even though you just got the tires balanced, that is always my first guess.... not all guys balance them perfect, especially if it looks like you use it off-road. However, my second guess, based on your notes above, would be wheel/hub bearings.... however, more then likely those would also be accompanied by noise like a humm or grinding noises.....
If the drag link, tie rod and track bar are all tight, and its not from the brakes, then those are my two best guess.
Also keep in mind, depending on where the vibes are feeling like they are coming from, chopped tires, or even a rear end issue could also be the culprit.... but less likely knowing the jeeps pretty well. But it leads me to ask, did you rotate the tires when you got them balanced?

I can feel them thru my feet and the wheel.
The tires were rotated, but it was smooth till yesterday. Never noticed any grind or hum or groan, but I know it has quite a bit o mileage on the hubs.
The damper is new too. Wondering if I lost a weight.

I have the same issue right now as well, I've aligned my XJ, balanced tires, checked u-joints & ball joints, hub bearings, steering linkage. the u-joints in the front axles need to be replaced but I don't think that is the vibration. mine shakes from 55 to 65 then settles down and is smooth. I though it was going to be caused by tires but now I'm not sure. my shocks are blown as is the steering stabilizer, but I'm waiting to buy a lift kit before I replace the shocks. I guess I'll figure it out then.

The front u-joints are always turning while the Jeep is moving, no matter what. If they are loose and have play, that could very well be your vibration.

If you can do it yourself, the u-joints themselves are only like 40 bucks or so. Its a lengthy process, but relatively easy. Took me about 3 hours for mine..... LOL and no broken knuckles... HAAHA
