You mean like this $200 Martin set in my tool box?
I'm not an idiot... I just did something really ****ing dumb, and couldn't see the damage I was doing until I took that tar off with a heat gun. Thanks for the videos though. It's been a 8 years since I've done any real body work and could use a refresher.
I decided to not be lazy going for a quick fix and do this right.
I'm going to drop the gas tank and get the dent's out that I can reach with a hammer and dolly. For the rest I'm going to put some 2"x6" pices of wood down, a 100 gallon container on top of the wood, and fill the container with water. This should allow me to get the rest of the dings from underneath with a hammer and slapping spoon. With some luck I can get this to an acceptable state for some filler.
I think you made a wise decision to drop the tank and take care of those dents properly the floor is just to clean not to do so being you have the tools and know how.
Before you do drop it you might want to check the fuel pressure and see the pump is in good shape and the filter as some are in the tank as well don't remember your year now but it would be the time if the tank is dropped
Being I have never made a mistake before myself your choice is a good one IMHO!

LOL thanks man! I went ahead and ordered a Bosch replacement pump assembly the other day. The Cherokee only has 95K but I figured it was worth the extra $200. I have a 99 so the filter is in the pump assembly.
