eenie meenie minee???
Ok so the jeep card is here and the build is nearly underway one problem is i was cinsidering buying from rustys but i have stumbled across some horror stories from rustys products as well as thier crazy shipping costs (im in nor cal so nowhere near alabama) and i was curious if they would be a good company to go through my other option was zone offeoad simply because sofar all ive heard is good things about zone. i dont wanna do RC cause it seems every jeep here has rough country stuff and stickers everywhere. im so excited to get started but im trying to keep it cool and do it right

If you go RE, either piece together a kit on amazon or get ahold of Andy Carter at ironman4x4fab.com. He's a RE dealer and can basically beat any price. Get his number of of website and call. He doesn't post his prices

Rusty's is big here, I am close to Alabama and with the exception of the track bars with tie rod ends on them their stuff is fine. I run their coils and love them way more than I did my RE coils. Track bars with tie rod ends shouldn't be used on anything more than about 3" of lift anyway but they are cheap and easy to install and that's why a lot of companies use them. I've heard good and bad about Zone but if you can afford it RE is the way to go. I've been running their arms with the stock bushings, just grease them from time to time, for almost 10 years and they work like new. Only good thing I can say about RC is it's cheap.

I'm running ZONE 3" AAL with RC track bar, RC fixed lower control arms, and ZONE quick discos along with ZJ steering. Drives great but rides. Little rough. With I had the money to do full leafs.

From what I have looked at, once you factor in shipping cost you can get a RE kit for the same price if not less than a similar kit from Rusty's. I think serious offroad offers free shipping on rubicon kits actually. Or you can go the a'la'cart route and piece your own kit together as you find good deals; springs, shocks, control arms in whatever flavor you like and fill in the other little things as you go.

Piecing select parts will turn out better in the end. There is no way to design a one size fits all kit and thats what the package kits try to do. For example Zone springs are overly stiff if you dont have significant weight addded like armor, bumpers etc. You would be doing yourself a favor if you figured out what your end goal is and comparing specs on various parts and see what fits your needs. A kit is generally going to leave you desiring in one aspect or another. However you go dont rush or cut corners and youll find yourself happy once done.
Best of luck.
Best of luck.
4.5 is what id like ideally but 3 would b ok either way an sye would b in the near future I'm looking for capable too and a system that can take a good beating I dont beat my jeep up but knowing the system I have under it can take one is always nice
