driver door problems

Default driver door problems

On my 2001 the driver door is having some issues.. it seems to fit well when shut at the bottom but the top leaves a gap all the way around the window about a half inch... is this an ajustment issue... I even put another door on same issue... Help please

like weather stripping gap?

kind of but all the weather stripping is there its like the bottom of the door lines up perfect ant the top of the door is about an inch away from the body

You can try to carefully bend the door by hand to get a better seal. My '99 has very worn hinges so it sags and there is a 8 inch long portion up top that doesnt quite seal. Very anmoying at highway speeds lol.

i just replaceed my weather stripping, it was fine at bottom and i had a gap at the top of the door as well, however i bought mustang foxbody door stripping bc i get it for cheap at work and it fit like a glove and now my door closes so tight.

thats what im thinking just adding some weather stripping I may take the finder off and see if i can see what the real problem is :/ I hate saggy doors!

Check the top door hinge. On my driver side the hinge is beginning to separate from where it is welded to the Jeep and may fall off soon. I've seen it a few times on Cherokees. This is the cause of my door sag. May not be your problem but will only take a second to check and rule out.

Ill take some pics tonight... I have tried two diffrent doors same problem ill take the finder off tonight as well see if i can get some pics... if not tonight i will tomorrow... Thanks everyone for the help!
