Yes I ha e read all about on CF and the web but, I read how some say to get the proportion valve off the donor. I have an 8.25 in my building and want to get it out and lock it and do the conversion. Is the pro valve critical to this mod? I am watching a complete D35 disc set up on Ebay bug, it does not include the valve. I will buy that to if its needed. Thanks.

No, I don't believe it is completely necessary.

ive seen write ups ding it both ways also. im planning on doing it soon not really for better brakes but as a way of keeping the axle in if a c clip lets go. I dont plan ochanging it out.

I agree. And besides, the easier way is to pull the guts out of the donor prop valve and swap them into yours. Easy.

Does a D35 kit bolt right on to the 8.25? Thinking about building my other 8.25 with disc brakes, but would like to find the right parts with little modification....OR would it be easier to snag something off a liberty or other newer Jeep with the 8.25 and disc?

Are liberty the same set as the 94-98? As in the p brake drum?

GC you have to open up the caliper bracket hole with a dremel. I wouldn't hold out for a Liberty set because of that. No big deal. Pretty sure the same parking brake is used. Be sure to get the caliper mounting studs and lug studs from the donor vehicle as they are both longer.
