I went to the pick a part today to grab some 12 hole or even 4 hole injectors and couldn’t find any that ended in 703, 784 or 161 that are always mentioned. I looked hard. Maybe I’m looking wrong but I found many that would fit. I can tune my fuel maps and am not afraid to solder the connectors on to match the injectors. What other options does that give me? Pretty much any, right? Does anyone know what the best, most common options are besides the usual? I’ll post more when I learn more.
Cummins , is 100% on the money, dont cut your harness, use these. Check on ebay for the adapter plugs, I am running these on my 4.0l turbo install. with 30lb injectors. they work great, plug and play Injector adapter plug
Question.....................
I put the 703 part number into ebay and I start looking what pops up and I see plastic injectors and some that have metal housings. What is the difference? I've read so much about this upgrade I have probably got the answer jumbled somewhere in my brain, but can't remember what the diff is....
The only upgrade is injectors are new and clean not plugged up with hundreds of years of build. Junk yard injectors with any hole count may be a downgrade.
buy new ones.
Yes runns smoother. But when I put mine in there were like 3 different sizes installed. Having new injectors all the same size made her run noticably better.
I did 4hole injectors
Year: 1998 Classic (I'll get it running soon....) and 02 Grand

Whoda thunk?
Listen carefully and you can hear your PCM muttering, "No wonder I could never figure out the right fuel trim. What did that idiot think I was supposed to do with a mix like that???"
This is why we never assume that the P.O. had a functional brain!
Yes. I didn't plan to do injectors. My fuel rail was leaking when I pulled it apart i found out the surprise. It actually didn't run horribly with un matched injectors. With new injectors fuel consumption is the same. Just runs smoother
