Default Fuel Injector Compatability?

Yesterday I smelled fuel so when I got home I popped the hood and I noticed it was wet around the #1 injector.
Upon looking for a injector rebuild kit I got the part# off the injectors currently installed which is 53030343, which according to my research is for a 94-95 4.0L Mine is a '93 which should have part# 33007127.
The PSI and flow rate for the two is the same, are these interchangable? Or should I buy the correct part# for my model year? Perhaps mine was built later in '93 and they used '94 parts? Thanks

The newer 4 hole injectors are an improvement over the single jet. The Bosch ending in 703 might be a fine choice for your Jeep. Programbo here might be helpful. Persision injectors, (however you spell that), is also a good source.

There is also a chance you just have an upper "O" ring leaking. Lot's of guys "can" the stock injectors and up-grade to the 4 hole for better atomization of the fuel.

In google "advanced search" you will find all sorts of stuff. "injector upgrade" might be in your search!

I really like the instructions. Super clear and great pictures. Always like that. I will contact Programbo. Thanks for the input.

I just did my 703 injector swap today. My only road block was that it was 32° out when I did it. My XJ is much happier now. You won't be disappointed.

Kat...I'm not sure I would put 703's in an 87-90 Renix (again. (I have them now)). Runs great! BUT! In my opinion I'm getting sucky mileage with lots of short trips. In "default" mode, before more sensors adjust your mix, the 703's will run rich, being a higher flow rate than the 18.6/Lbs/Hr that the Renix ECU thinks are there.

I believe there are 19# four, hole ford yellows that might be a better choice for my 90. I get almost 25 on the freeway! (but "tank" to maybe 16 or less, knocking around).
