I searched and all I found was a for sale add in the mid west.
With that out of the way, hello, I am getting new shocks for a stock 98' 4WD XJ but I Will be getting a budget boost before winter. I am trying to figure out what RX series would fit me best. Any help greatly appreciated as I left the Jeep world for a few months to work on my Honda but it is nice to be back!
Thank you, Robert.

New idea: Buy your budget boost and a good set of Bilstein 5100's from Serious Offroad who is a vendor on CF. Guaranteed better service and knowledge plus a sweet forum discount. I wouldn't buy either product from rustys, only springs.

X2 5100's will be way better than those

Ok lol, thanks. I will go check them out now.
EDIT: After looking at the $40+ price difference, I think I will go back to Rusty's lol. I know that Bilstein will of course be of better quality but it is just not worth it because I could go through 2 different shock rotations compared to 1 with the Bilsteins.

Lol, I mean, what are they gonna do? Eat me? Lmao
My dad is the one who will drive this most of the time as I gave it to him to get into NYC instead of beating up his own truck. He said he dosen't care if they are dollar store shocks, as long as they work, decently.

If you're thrifty, pick up some JK shocks. Especially if you're going to do a budget boost. They ride nice and usually you get all four for less than $80 shipped off eBay. All you need is to press out the lower bushing sleeves and a bar pin elim on the front. Should also work stock height if you don't bottom them out...i think.

They're standard white body shocks, nothing wrong with running them, but they're nothing spectacular. Cheap and quality don't come in the same box.

Thank you for being the only one who didn't flame me for rusty's. I obviously know they wont perform aswell as $90 Bilsteins, but for a jeep that is ONLY used as a beater, we really don't care what we put in it. We service it ourselves every few months and make sure that everything is ok. We didn't even get these. Ended up going with $45 gas shocks from KYB on tire rack, I believe. I feel like people treated me better on here before I got my civic :/
