Does anyone have any ideas? I reset the ecu and my car works fine but there are no signs of life in the kenwood head unit

How exactly did you do the reset? If nothing electrical on the entire dash works then obviously power isn't getting there but I am not sure if there is a fuse/relay or feed wire specifically for that so I will have to check today and may have an answer for you if no one else jumps in.

I did the positive to negative discharge way. First time i did it that way too. iso there was a fuse out for my gauges, so those work now. Everything except the radio. I checked the fuse on the back of it and all other fuses i think because dont have a manual

I'm betting you blew a fuse. Is the radio getting 14.4V when the car is on? Both red and yellow wires need to have power. Aftermarket hus usually have a buss fuse on the yellow wire.

The red is switched. It should turn on when your ignition is on.
