i used zj parts for my d44 disc swap theres def some work involved i used the tj axle retainer plates mentioned in the link above re drilled them and they worked fine but ive heard the crown victoria disc swap is a straight swap
I have done both swaps on d44's. The crown vic swap is definately easier, but you still need to change the axle retainer plate. I suggest ussing a TJ rubicon plate and having it redrilled, instead of cutting the ring.
On the ZJ swap you need to have the Backing plate opened up so that the oil seal can go through it, ANd have it redrilled to the d44 retainer stud pattern. You also need to do the same thing with the retainer plate. The mashince shop charged me 75 dollars dor all 3 procedures they performed on the backing, and axle retainers.

This is the lowest price kit I have found.
I think it's cool because it still has drum style brakes for the ebrake too.
I think I will get this kit, let me know what you guys think.

No they will not.. NON C CLIP D35 drums, backing plate and wheel cylinders do.
To me that is high. I bought my ZJ brake setup for 50, spent 75 on machine work and a couple of hours at the PNP.
Just so you know the crown vic, explorer, and ZJ all have the same internal drum e-brake.
Heck if you wanted to go the real easy way.. you could buy weld on brackets, and some Caddy eldarado calipers and hook it up that way.
