Dana 30 ring and pinion set up
So I've gutted my front dana 30. I need to replace seals and bearings. Looking to install a locker or LSD style set up in there. I will not be buying chromoly axles. I'm going 4:10 because I have 33's. I'm looking for suggestions , tips... General opinions on the parts needed , brands , styles , how to knowledge...... Looking at getting a LSD most likely 80% track with a full rebuild. Pinion bearings and carrier bearings , seals , axle shaft seals ( outer ) and new gears. Thanks in advance.

With 33's and an AW4 you need to go deeper than 4.10.
4.56 is ideal.

If you're going through the trouble and expense to regear....get a selectable locker up front. you'll never get the same level of performance from an LSD.
Install Kit
Ring and Pinion
Inner seal
Eaton ELocker
Tools needed:
Bearing puller (clamshell style)
Shop press
Dial indicator w/ magnetic base
Dial caliper or micrometer
In.lb Torque wrench
Ft.lb torque wrench
Time.....lots and lots of time.
4.56 is ideal.

Gahhhhh Google stuff! You just asked for a wealth of knowledge that you could've already known by now if you googled! There is no right answer for what's best, you need to determine what works best for you.
And serious will always have you pointed in the right direction.

You will be very sorry about that gear choice with 4.10's in short order. First will be lower MPG than with 4.56's and all around performance in general. A 4.56 will bring you back to where a stock XJ was with stock tire/wheel combo, I'm guessing in your case a 3.55.
I'm running a 33's with 4.56's and now after a year really wish I had went with a set of 4.88's instead. Current mpg runs from 16.5-18 on a good day and I carry a heavily loaded XJ.
Consider nothing less than a locker instead of a LSD they just work that much better overall and there are many to choose from.

Google doesn't give opinions unless my Google is different than your Google?? Thank you for the advise on the gearing. Everything is a toss up right now that's why I posted this. I read threads , visit forums and ask questions so I can see what route I really want to go. Thanks again.

rockauto has Timken and SKF kits for the HP D30 that appear to have all the bearings and races, depth shims, preload shims, pinion seal, etc. I don't see the axle shaft seals with any of the kits, and you would want to replace those while everything is out, so you need them as well.
Do you have all the tools? Here's a pretty complete kit (link), but you'll also need a heavy-duty foot-pound torque wrench that goes up to 250ish in order to set the pinion nut

Or buy gears and install kits from any vendor ever...
OP, there are thousands and thousands of threads on regearing. Sorry you would have to read them instead of just having opinions listed under googles first result.

Opinions from fellow xj owners are gold compared to some site that just wants you to spend as much as possible. Would you not agree champ. No reason to get sour, it's America I can post whatever I want on here and ask as many questions as needed. You don't need to reply , that's the beauty of it.

You can't post whatever on here, you signed an agreement form that says so. I'm simply saying using 10 minutes of your time and searching could have lead to several beneficial threads to your questions and possibly taught you something in stead of starting yet another gear thread.

Don't get hung up on bearing brand names, I've had great success with National, Koyo, SKF, Timken, etc, etc. Had failures of National, Koyo, SKF, Timken, etc, etc.
It's all about proper installation and paying particular attention to detail.

I used to work on the retail side of automotive parts sales. It's funny how most manufactures will make three different brands but it's all the same bearing. I personally prefer Timken , but I do understand your point. Proper installation makes all the difference.
