Alright guys. I searched the forums couldn't find anything directly aimed at the D and C cage kit. So I'm considering purchasing this kit after my roll over this passed weekend. What are your his opinions in this?

if you flop your rig good enough it's still going to be totaled. you'll be able to crush A pillars in and ruin windshields just like I did when I flopped. the purpose of this kit (as stated by them) is to stiffen the unibody. good little starter kit, just depends on what you're trying to get by installing a cage

I just want the security and peace of mind if I were to flop again. I had no protection this last time and now I have some body work to do. What do you recommend?

if you want a roll cage to save your life it's not a bad kit. I'd add a decent amount to it and my preference is to tie it into the body itself and it'll certainly save your life and stiffen your xj. win win

see how you feel in a month. I'm really glad I didn't put a cage in mine after I flopped it. I realized I didn't want to put another dime into this setup even after fixing the damage. safety is a concern but you're seriously going to have to put it on it's lid or barrel roll it to hurt yourself. I'm taking my chances

If its a daily driver i wouldn't cage it,In a wreck you could hit your head on the cage even with it padded it will hurt bad or maybe worse. If its off road only and you wear a helmet then sure cage it.

Awesome. I'm going to hopefully repair the body and I'll wait some time before I make a major decision. As of right now it is a daily driver but I'm trying to pick up a beater car so I can fill build my jeep

Or have a exo cage built like some run,Its on the outside so your safer with no helmet and if you do roll it will protect the body a lot more. The downside is the price if you can't build it yourself.

Yup, just like I said in that link... I have a T&J cage. Its pretty much the exact same thing.

I added a big X at the B-pillar and harness bars front and rear.

It's not going to take repeated hard rolls but it'll take a good roll at least once. That may be all you need.

I decided to add the cage the weekend after I almost flipped the Jeep over it's front bumper.

The T&J cage fit really well.
