Default roll cage

hey guys, I am new to the forum and jeep world for that matter. I have an 89 2dr Cherokee and want to put a cage in it and I want some advice on either how to build one or look for if buying one.

Building one will be really expensive unless you already have a mandrel bending machine and good welder.

I run a T&J Performance kit cage. For the money it's a well fitting starter cage.

Those appear to be designed very similar to the T&J kit that I have. It's assembled differently but it looks like a tight fit.

My T&J cage is DOM though.

Yeah, I had noticed that. It's been 2 years I think. I believe they still carry them. Maybe give them a call.

I paid right at $700 shipped to my door for DOM.

The link isn't working for me, but I'm guessing for $450 its HREW and not DOM.

If I remember correctly from when I looked at them you could get it in DOM for a bit more money.

The more i think about it, the more i think I'll end up with a prefabbed cage.

bending your own is nice, i feel that all the internal cages are make the tiny inside of a XJ even smaller.
