Someone here has the answer. Got the usual cancer probs with the lower doors. Goona fix as soon as is warm enough. One of my gearhead buddies said there some mfg. out there that makes the plastic cladding for XJs like on the grands. I don't need armour as the truck is the wife's DD, and she won't allow me much fun with it. But I would like to delay having to do bodywork on the doors frequently because of the road salt we use here in winter. Anybody seen anything like this? I've gone through my mags and the net with no luck. Seen the diamondplate and the XRC, but it's just overkill for me. Right now it's just surface, so a good prep and spray ought to do it. I'll lead if I get into it and find it's worse than I think. Anybody ever mod the Grand stuff for an XJ? Plenty around here in the boneyards. Rockers are solid. Go figure. Thanks.

 

Adding the moisture trapping, road salt holding plastic from a grand cherokee will only make your problem worse.
