Default Black cladding mod...

So I'm seriously thinking about joining the black cladding club, seen a few good looking jobs done with krylon fusion, seems if you prep it and take your time it lasts long time and looks good too.. Anybody have some pics of thier painted cladding? Ill be doing mine soon.

Here is my 95 ZJ with blacked out cladding. I used Rust-Oleum bed liner spray after scuffing with a green ScotchBrite pad and a light coat of primer. It has held up very nice so far. I used under coating on the lower rocker panel cladding. It looked nice at first, but now it's looking weathered and cracking. The upper cladding still looks great though.

That looks pretty good. Does the truck bed coating give it a rough texture? I was going to do about 5 coats of Krylon Fusion but I cant find it anywhere anymore. I did 2 coats on my grill and its chipping already. Rust o leum has one for plastics as well. Think I might go with that stuff, along with a light sanding an primer.

Yeah, it has a gritty texture once it dries. I also found that if you have some small runs when the paint is wet they almost totally disappear once it dries. It's very forgiving.

I like the way the grille turned out, its smooth and has a low gloss look to it, really wished i scuffed up the chrome before I sprayed it though.
