When I got my '96 Country last week, the side cladding panel was missing off the right front door and the panel was partially loose on the driver's door. I was able to get a replacement panel at my local Pick and Pull over the weekend. The question is....what can I use to remove existing double-sided trim tape from trim and from door in order to re-attach? The standard attachment appears to be three or four strips of the above referenced double-sided tape.

One other related question.. my left rear bumper tip was scuffed by another driver prior to my purchase. I am going to remove it and either repair and paint or buy an unfinished one and paint it. I couldn't find a matching one in the JY. The color is the metallic silver gray that is fairly common. Is there a trim paint or similar that is a close match.

Any suggestions appreciated.

 

This'll remove the double sided tape without removing any paint.
