CB Radio in Overhead Console, how to power it?
Hey guys, I've got my overhead console out and have got the CB radio mount in place to install it, the only thing I'm having trouble with is getting power to the CB radio. I've heard people say to splice into the vanity mirror wire to get power, however I'm not sure which wire or what to splice. Does anyone have a write up on this? Or could anyone help me out?

Run the positive fused wire from the Cb radio to fuse location 17 (radio) for power with one of these (battery side) and a small insulated female spade stake on:
Secure the wire under the dash then run up under the "A" pillar trim finally tuck it up across the head liner and voila!

Thanks so much, that helps me a ton. I've never wired anything before but that sounds simple enough, I already have the trim out and I'm running the coaxial cable through the trim too so it should work fine.
Thanks again!!
Thanks again!!

If you run your own wires.... put a fuse near where you are getting power.
If you wire it via the fuse box the circuit may be switched power only which means the CB will only work when the vehicle is on. There may also be a few full time power spots on your fuse box (my 93 has accessory slots both full time power and switched power), however I prefer to wire my radios directly to the battery.

I'd recommend running both power and ground directly to the battery. CB's are finicky with interference. You'll get the least amount of static by running them both to the battery.
